WELCOME

Hey, I'm glad you found your way here.

If you've landed here, chances are you're carrying something. Questions, uncertainty, maybe even a kind of exhaustion that is hard to explain.

Therapy here is not about judgment, quick fixes, or forcing clarity before you are ready. It is about creating space to make sense of what has been held quietly for a long time.

My style is warm, direct, collaborative, and deeply human. I am not a passive therapist who only sits back and nods.

My role is not to fix you. My role is to help you make sense of what you've carried, understand what shaped you, and move forward with more clarity, choice, and self trust.

About Miah

I didn't start here.

Before I ever sat across from someone in a therapy room, I was navigating immigration systems, legal settings, and the reality of building a life from scratch in a place that did not yet feel like home.

As an immigrant and former refugee, and as a clinician who has worked across immigration, legal, crisis, healthcare, school, dual-diagnosis, and community mental health settings, I understand how people are shaped by the places they have had to survive, belong, adapt, and make meaning.

Our Therapy Approach

Trauma informed. Relational. Depth oriented.

This work is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in depth. I do not believe healing happens by looking at symptoms in isolation. We look at patterns: where they began, what they protected you from, and why they continue to show up in your relationships, your body, your choices, and your sense of self.

My approach draws from attachment-based therapy, family systems, parts work, somatic awareness, psychodynamic and relational frameworks, CBT, ACT, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing. But the method is never the whole point. The relationship matters. Your context matters. Your culture, family roles, migration history, faith or community experiences, and the systems you have had to navigate are part of the work.

Therapy with me is warm, honest, direct, and deeply human. I listen closely, reflect patterns as they are happening, and ask the questions that are often avoided because that is where clarity begins.

Early sessions focus on your history, current concerns, relationships, symptoms, strengths, culture, context, and the patterns that may be shaping what you are experiencing.

3

Ongoing Work

Together, we move at a thoughtful pace. Sessions may include reflection, skill-building, nervous system awareness, deeper pattern work, and practical steps you can carry into daily life.

What this space is grounded in

Healing happens through feeling seen, understood, challenged, and genuinely supported. Therapy here is not distant or performative. It is relational, honest, and deeply human.
The therapeutic relationship matters.
Your culture, history, language, rituals, identities, and lived experiences are not side notes. They shape how you experience safety, belonging, grief, family, relationships, and healing.
Context matters.
Many people come to therapy already thoughtful and self-aware, but still stuck. This work focuses on where patterns began, what they protected, and why they continue to show up.
Patterns matter.
